1st wanted storyline post! [16 Jul 2014|04:17am] kingstag So this is a community for players both already in gangdom as well as hopeful applicants to talk about possible character ideas and storylines, who would be best to bring in, what their plot opportunities would be, etc. etc. I'm Kait, one of the mods and player of a handful of characters who would love several of their canon counterparts along for the ride in game, so read on to see some ideas for characters I'd love to see held and applied! STANNIS BARATHEON: [Wanted by RENLY kingstag] Renly's older brother (obviously), who is extremely butthurt over the fact that upon his death, Robert gave most of his remaining power to his youngest brother, because they got along much better. Despite being given this power Renly wants to take their family and their crime racket in another direction entirely, one more in line with getting the public on their side and working to get straight with the city, while Stannis instead wants to be on top, like Robert once was. He believes he is born to be in charge, and now is his chance, if he can just get rid of Renly. I would love for us to work out a murder plot in-game, even better if we can find an additional player interested in playing Melisandre, which could get really interesting and creative with her "red god" modern interpretation. We also have a current player who mentioned an interest in playing Davos, so, STANNIS! COME APPLY! GENDRY WATERS: [Wanted by ARYA wildwolf (& RENLY!)] Robert's actual on-paper heir do to some quasi-legal tampering that Ned Stark did with Robert's Will, to ensure that it said 'natural heir' instead of 'Joffrey'. Gendry doesn't yet know who he is related to, but I would love for that to come out in game, and throw trouble in for everybody (especially after Cersei/Joffrey try to have him killed). He could be a friend from Arya's school football team or anything else really, although I've always loved the image of Gendry as an extremely skilled car mechanic (for drag racers?) instead of a blacksmith, and it would give him an easy in with the gangs. I've love for Gendry to be a help to Arya after Ned's death, when the Lannisters are 'after' the both of them. Of course, I'm an utter puddle of feels for them as my OTP as well, so a Gendry love interest would absolutely make my day. ELLARIA SAND: [Wanted by OBERYN southsands] Mother of Oberyn's four youngest daughters, she is the perfect woman to him and is the only one who has ever been able to keep up with him romantically, and tolerate his shifting, dangerous moods. Even though every Martell and girl sired by Oberyn is considered part of the family business Ellaria is not, and he is glad for that and would never expect differently for her, being a mother of four girls and someone who follows a very alternative way of life. Where Oberyn is obsessed with revenge, Ellaria does not have that hunger, and instead would prefer not to see blood if it can be avoided (though she never seeks to stop him, only counsel caution). I would love for some strange canon equivalent to her worshiping of the Lyseni love goddess, and c'mon, the threesome these two could seek out would be enough of a pull right there. DAEMON SAND: [Wanted by OBERYN southsands] Also Oberyn's niece Arianne's ex-lover, Daemon would be Oberyn's personal assistant, which when you're the Red Viper means one hell of a dangerous and complicated job. Daemon would be well-versed in poisons and street warfare and the typical Martell & Sand brand of assassination and drug trafficking expertise. He would have come to work with Oberyn after being embarrassed by Arianne's rejection, though since then he has either become Oberyn's lover, or is in the process of becoming so. Since Oberyn is only passionately interested in the fiery and the dangerous, Daemon would likely be a young man who is very much his own person. 3 comments add one
